Christian Tracts and Gospel Coins
Over the last two to three decades we have seen a constant depletion of the Christian bookshop in town. Recently when I went back to my hometown a the local evangelical Christian bookshop which opened some time in the late 80s closed it’s doors for good. It was shocking to see. The shop had become almost something like an institution in town and a place where people with questions about Jesus could find some answers.
A friend told me some of the reasons why the shop had to close down. It seemed like the place was under severe spiritual attack and a lot strange things had happened to it.
In turn though it is not difficult to locate and order Christian literature online. The main difference is that you have to look for the online shops whereas the local Christian bookshop in town is simply there and invites you to come in.
Another aspect is that a lot of outlets for purchasing tracts and evangelistic literature have also gone under with the disappearance of the Christian bookshop from the high street.
Now there is something we can do. First of all we can make Christian products available such as evangelistic clothing, Bibles, NTs, commentaries, outreach literature, Christian books etc. It is easy and low cost.
And this might be another war room activity. Get together with Christian friends and develop strategies to reach out to a lost world and to strengthen the brothers and sisters in Christ.
I have come across a website where it seems that just a couple of individuals got together and created a gospel outlet.
They sell christian tracts on ebay at cost and also have their own online shop to do the same.

An interesting tract I found was a some fake paper money with a gospel message written on them. Now the money is fictitious so hopefully will not get anybody into prison. But they also have Gospel Coins. A simple message: “Where will you spend eternity?” on one side and John 3:16
For God so much loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life”
You could throw a coin somewhere on the road and it will be picked up. Each coin costs about half a dollar but it could become the catalyst for someone to come to Jesus Christ in repentance.
What shall we do?
Get some tracts and coins and spread them all over the place!
People need to be confronted with the Gospel message
Think about writing your own tracts for your own community. Then publish and distribute them.
Get your church involved. Start a Christian book table with relevant products.
Pray about outreach opportunities and seek ways to get the Gospel out!
Try and support your local Christian bookshop in the High Street.
Instead of ordering online go to the local Christian bookshop.

Then place some books, Bibles for sale on ebay. I am surprised about the
lack of Christian materials on the platform.
